Requesting/Adding Wi-Fi Access Points (WAPs)

The previous process to allow schools or departments to purchase additional access points is no longer in operation. The Network Replacement Programme that ran from 2020-2025 was tasked with replacing the existing Wi-Fi network and enhancing it in areas where coverage or signal were below the required standard. 

 

The project surveyed buildings following the initial replacement phase and then analysed the findings with colleagues from each area to ascertain what enhancements were needed. The enhancement work completed in summer 2025.

 

If you have a requirement that you feel has not been addressed by the Network Replacement Programme then you can request an additional WAP by raising a NetJob request.
