Welcome to the Learning Spaces Technology (LST) support page. Here, you'll find information on how to access technical support for equipment within teaching spaces at the University of Edinburgh. Support TiersLST operates a three-tier support system to ensure that your technical issues within our teaching spaces are addressed promptly and effectively. Please note that LST only provides Level 1 and 2 support services to Centrally Supported General Teaching Spaces whereas Level 3 support is available across the University. Please note the following distinctions:Level 1 – We aim to resolve most problems either remotely or via telephone.Level 2 – A member of the team will come out to assist you if the issue cannot be resolved remotely. In some instances, temporary kit or a workaround will be put in place to enable teaching to carry on. If there is a major equipment fault, the Timetabling Unit will be notified and the room may be temporarily unavailable.Level 3 – An Audio Visual Repair service which is available across the University. This is a service which provides permanent fixes to faults and ongoing issues, it is not a quick response or workaround service.Space TypeLevel 1 Level 2 Level 3 Centrally Supported General Teaching SpacesYesYesYesSpecialist Teaching Spaces (i.e. Laboratories, Maker-Space type areas)NoNoYesLocally Supported Spaces (i.e. School owned/School managed rooms)NoNoYes Support Availability Level 1 and 2 support is available during the following hours:Monday to Friday: 08:30 AM – 5:45 PM (during term time)Monday to Friday: 08:30 AM – 4:30 PM (outside of term time)For information on semester dates, click here Reporting a ProblemOur Service Desk can be contacted via our helpline 504097 or by email learningspacestechnology@ed.ac.uk.All of our teaching spaces have phones installed with our contact number on it or you can press hotkey 2 to be put directly through to us.
