This service is available for staff elections. Student elections are provided by Edinburgh University Students' Association. Service availability The service is available to staff in any college, school or org unit who needs to appoint candidates to an available seat by means of an election process E.g. a chairperson, committee member, assessors, university rector etc. For student elections, contact the Edinburgh University Students' Association Student Council. Entitlement The target electorate is defined by the election provider, including (but not limited to) the following: Court & Senate (University Rector Elections, Court & Senate committee members / assessors) Development & Alumni (for Alumni Awards) General Council (Business Committee Elections) Charging Currently (at Oct 2023) this service is provided for staff-based elections at no additional cost. The service is subject to charging to Information Services so please do consider if the seat(s) you are attempting to appoint requires electoral voting which conforms to Electoral Reform Society standards in transferable vote systems. Fees charged to Information Services are subject to the size, complexity and duration of your election and includes education discount. The following is strictly a guideline only, to help illustrate the cost of using this service: Costs to run the service are £800 per day (correct at Oct 2023). Add-on services for candidate profiles are £25 per candidate and if printing & postal services are required, this is charged per letter/envelop plus distribution fees.
