Software Services administer the Adobe ETLA agreement to purchase *annual* subscriptions to Adobe products for the University. Adobe licenses run from 1 September to 31 August each year.

Adobe Creative Cloud for students

Current students at the University can purchase an Adobe Creative Cloud Suite licence directly from our ePay store. The current cost for a single student licence is £20 for a subscription running up to 31 August 2026. This licence includes Acrobat Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro and the other products found in the Creative Cloud Suite.

This is not an automated purchase. Please allow one to three working days for us to process your order and set up your account.

You will not be able to access your account and files cannot be retrieved after you graduate. Please backup your files before you leave.

Edinburgh College of Art and Edinburgh Futures Institute

Students in Edinburgh College of Art (ECA) and Edinburgh Futures Institute (EFI) must register for Adobe Creative Cloud via the ECA and EFI Adobe portal.

Adobe products for staff/departments/units

With these licences you are permitted use on a University managed PC or Mac, and one personal device installation via the Adobe website.

Device licences are tied to a single machine only and permit only one installation.

However, Adobe Express is still available as part of the Creative Cloud Suite.

It is available to students under exceptional circumstances, for example, if it is required for a dissertation.
