Virtual Labs is a cloud based service that allows educators to assign a virtual machine to each of their students to use to learn software tools, complete coursework, use software tools for analysis of data and much more. It is similar to providing each student with a PC/laptop loaded with the software required for any particular course. It can be accessed from almost any device (personal PC, Laptop, Mac, tablet, etc.) for the prescribed number of hours for each student. It is a predictable, uniform environment for all students and can easily be reset to original state by the student or the course administrator.
