Availability, Entitlement & Charges

Service Availability

Except for planned service outages, the service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Support is available, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, excluding University Holidays, from IS Apps Service Management via the IS Helpline.

Entitlement to Hosting

Corporate/Academic units and Student societies can use the service free of charge provided they do not incur additional service running cost.

Charges

Linux Hosting

Bronze and Silver hosting for websites that support University teaching and research activities provided they remain within the standard resource allocation for the Bronze and Silver level packages and therefore do not result in an increase in costs for providing the service.

Note that hosting is run on a ‘costs only’ basis, meaning that any additional charges for larger websites simply cover the increased cost of running the service, with no profit to IS Applications Division.
