There are significant changes to the way we work with ESRI's ArcGIS occurring on 01 August 2024. ArcGIS Desktop (ArcMap, ArcCatalog, ArcGlobe, and ArcScene) will be withdrawn from service. You will need to license ArcGIS Pro using an ArcGIS Online account. These changes have been mandated by ESRI: we have no control over them or their timing. A new ArcGIS Online instance As part of the process of implementing Single Sign On for access to ArcGIS, existing users will migrate from the old Org to the new ‘eduni’ Org (https://eduni.maps.arcgis.com/). Note: If you are in Geosciences you will be directed to sign in to their Portal at: https://edgeos.maps.arcgis.com/ This organisation is hosted in the EU for greater UK GDPR compliance. All new staff and students will use the new organisation from August 2024 so if you wish to collaborate with others, you should consider migrating to the new service. Accessing ArcGIS Online ArcGIS Online can be accessed using your UUN by going to : https://eduni.maps.arcgis.com/ and selecting the “University of Edinburgh” login button. Do NOT use the ArcGIS login option. Note: If you are in Geosciences you will be directed to sign in to their Portal at: https://edgeos.maps.arcgis.com/ again using your UUN. Further Information for Geosciences Staff and Students Changes to ArcGIS Pro You will need to update your ArcGIS Pro installation when version 3.3 becomes available in the Software Center.
