Moving files and folders

In order to keep your DataSync files organized, you may want to move files and folders into and out of other folders. This is again simply a matter of dragging and dropping, as follows:

 

Moving Files And Folders

  1. To move a file or folder into another folder, click and hold on the file or folder that you would like to move.
  2. While holding the mouse button, drag the file or folder so over the new folder location and release the button to move it inside there.

Dragging Multiple Files or Folders

You can also move multiple files or folders at once by clicking on the checkboxes that appear when you hover your mouse over the files/folders.

When you have selected all the ones you want to move, you can click and drag one of them, which moves them all, and drop them either on another folder or, as shown in the diagram below, onto the house icon to place all the files and folders into the root of your general DataSync 'Files' area.
