Follow the steps below to upgrade to Windows 11. During the Windows 11 Upgrade process, there are three main areas that may stop the upgrade utility from upgrading and they are: Not enough disk space - If the upgrade utility finds there isn't enough free space to upgrade. Try to free up any files that are no longer needed. Hardware Blocks - It is not possible to remediate hardware blockers, a new Windows 11 compatible computer is required. If the device does have a hardware block please contact your local support team, if you're not sure who this is please contact IS Helpline. Software Blocks - These come and go, as Microsoft or an application vendor fixes their issues with Windows 11. There are currently not many in our environment, however the most common software blocks on a device are: Code Message Action 47615939 Multi-mon + Copilot (23H2) Run windows update 48070271 Solidworks PDM + address bar (23H2) Update installed version of Solidworks 48070312 iCloud files shared in Explorer via WhatsApp (23H2) Update installed versions of Apple iCloud Services 48070225 AMD GPU perf settings (23H2) Update the AMD GPU Driver If the Software block is not listed above, follow the steps below: If you recognise the software mentioned as blocking you could uninstall it if it is not required. Run Windows Update, in case Microsoft have fixed the issue.
