Office 2021 Upgrade

Configuring Outlook 2021 for a first time user on the SDX Supported Desktop.

The Office 2021 Upgrade on the University Windows Supported Desktop currently needs to be manually configured for new users of outlook.

How it works

    When Outlook is opened for the first time, it will ask to be configured and have the email address of the logged in user.

    click Advanced options.

    Tick the Let me set up my account manually.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  • Click the Connect button to continue.

    On the Advanced setup page click the Exchange option.

    On the next page it will ask to login to your Office365 account.

  • Enter your username as UUN@ed.ac.uk and your Office365 password, then click sign in.

    At the Stay signed into all your apps  screen click No, sign in to this app only

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  • Outlook will then add the account.

    On the next screen it will ask how far back to download the emails from.

  • Then click Next.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  • Once this is done, click Done on the Account successfully added screen.

  • Outlook will then finish configuring the account and automatically open.
