Ordering personal software through IS

Personal copies of some software can be purchased through the University by staff and students.

Software as part of existing site licenses

whole university software

Software/agreement	These agreements cover all students and staff
Microsoft Office365 & Imagine	All staff and students can download Office pro plus via the office365 portal. There's other microsoft software via Imagine, STEM schools apply to access Imagine Premium and non-STEM to Imagine Standard.
Matlab	Use the edweb forms, for Staff or for Students, to get a code and registration link for downloads.
Mind Genius	Mind mapping software for windows only. Use the edweb form to get access to a code and download for homeuse software
Nvivo	Staff and Students can use the edweb form to get codes and download link to use nvivo software within the UK and Ireland

Software for some schools

Software/agreement	Some schools have site license software which gives their staff and students home use
Mathematica	There are several school wide licenses which permit home use for staff and students
SPSS	HSS & MVM college staff and students can use the codes request form to get codes and download access.

Buying online using ePay

A selection of software can be bought using the online ordering system at the University, ePay in the Software Services section. At the moment, you can order ArcGIS, Minitab, NVivo and SPSS.

How is the software delivered or collected?

A lot of software is now "delivered" via download either locally or from the company. Some is available as soon as it is applied for. Others have to be verified or added to a portal by a human during normal office hours. Staff or postgraduate Students can opt to have the software delivered to their school/department. Undergraduates can collect software from IS helpdesk.

Delivery is possible to a UK home address but it will delay delivery. We cannot deliver outwith the UK but will pass the software to your school/department to post on.

The estimated delivery time for most orders is around two to three weeks, depending on where the item is coming from.
