Before you can use the Mac, you will need to log in to your personal account. Image Logging in Enter your University username (e.g. s0123456 or jbloggs) and the password used when activating your account. The lab Mac will then go through a process of logging in andsetting up your account, during which this lock screen will be shown. Logging out When you are finished using the computer, you must log off. If you don't, other people may be able to access your account. Click on the Apple menu in the top left-hand corner of the screen, and select 'Log Out'. Auto-logout on idle lab Macs For security reasons, if you leave your lab Mac idle for 10 minutes (i.e. not moving the mouse or pressing a key), a warning will appear giving a 20-minute grace period before the Mac will automatically log out.
