The JANET Roaming Service (eduroam) enables you to visit another participating institution and gain access to the Internet without having to register for another username and password. Image As a guest you will normally be given access to the Internet only, and will not have access to that institution's local facilities such as applications, printing, etc. The level of access will vary between institutions. Prerequisites You must be an active (non-alumni) member of the University of Edinburgh, registered for WiFi here. The institution you are visiting must be a member of the JANET Roaming Service (eduroam). Register for WiFi Networking Before you go Before you visit another institution, make sure you configure your device to work with the eduroam WiFi network within the University. If your device can successfully connect to eduroam within the University you should not need to make any changes to use your device at any other institution which supports eduroam.
