Open the Apple store on your Apple Device Search for FortiClient VPN Tap Get Once the installation is complete tap Open On the Privacy Policy highlights screen tap 'I accept' On the support information screen tap 'I accept' On the FortiClient VPN permissions screen, tap 'Allow' On the VPN screen tap 'Connections' Tap 'Add Configuration...' Enter the details as follows: Name : VPN@Ed - SSL Host : remote.net.ed.ac.uk Port : 8443 User : <your uun> Leave all other details as defaults Tap Save Under 'User VPN Gateway' the VPN@Ed- SSL entry should be listed with a tick next to it Tap "<VPN" to return to the main screen Tap the slider next to VPN Your username (uun) should already be filled in (no @ed.ac.uk required) Enter your VPN password (separate from normal password) , tap on OK On the Connection Request screen tap OK You should now be connected to the University network Once you are finished your work and want to disconnect: Open the FortiClient VPN app On the main screen, tap the slider next to VPN You are now disconnected from the university network Troubleshooting If you are having problems connecting once you have setup your new VPN connection then check the troubleshooting and common issues page for some suggestions.
