Home Directory and Roaming Profile Maintenance - July 2026

How this will affect you

Your Student Home Directory (accessed from drive M:\ in the Open Access Labs) will be unavailable for one day. 

Login to the Open Access Labs will be available and printing remains unaffected.

However, you will not be able to save any data to you home directory.

You should copy any files you may need in advance to another location (such as OneDrive, or USB stick).

If you are logged-in before the work begins, you must log-out before 10am.

Prior to the date you will be affected, copy any files you may need access to from your home directory to another location (such as OneDrive or a personal device).

Times and dates

We will perform this work over a number of days, migrating one server-pair at a time. Please see below for details of when each student server will be unavailable.

Maintenance is being carried out on the following days:

Week One - 21/07/26 - 23/07/26

Week Two - 28/07/26 - 30/07/26

Each server will be unavailable from 10am to 5pm on the outage day.

In the event of not requiring the full time slot, the server will be brought back up on-line once the maintenance has been completed.
