An application on macOS, such as Microsoft Teams, Privileges and Docker etc, that has previously worked properly is suddenly not able to launch and just closes, and perhaps gives an error message when doing. Background: This issue may not be directly related to the particular application itself, but rather can occur on all macOS versions released mid-December 2024, i.e. versions 13.7.2, 14.7.2 and 15.2. Solution: Apple have confirmed they have found the issue and will fix it in upcoming releases for all three OSes. In most cases, where possible, upgrading the version of macOS (e.g. from macOS 13 to 14, or 14 to 15) and re-installing the application will clear the issue. This article was published on 2025-02-19
