Student Partnership (Internship)

Over the course of the project, we have had an overwhelming response rate from our student population, which enabled the project team to work in partnership with students to create a co-designed approach:

To help deliver the Learn Foundations approach, each Summer, Learning, Teaching and Web (LTW) recruit 10 students to the Learn Foundations Internship which allows the team to continue their working partnership with students in order to prepare courses for the upcoming Academic Year.

Since 2019, LTW has:

  • Successfully recruited over 50 student interns to work with the project team across the 3-year delivery,  supporting with a variety of tasks ranging from course migrations through to accessibility reviews, training delivery data analysis and academic engagement.

  • Several of our student interns either presented or created posters for the annual University of Edinburgh Learning and Teaching Conference from 2019 to 2021.

  • 10 student interns either returned for more than one internship with the project or stayed in post after the original 12 week internship, supporting with project related tasks.

  • Continued with the Learn Foundations Internship as a annual migration service after the closure of the Learn Foundations project.
