Audio recordings

Should be permitted for students to support their own learning

  • It should be made clear to students that this is for their personal use and if recording (within) a session is not appropriate (and why).
  • Disabled students are one of the groups that will  benefit from lecture recording, and staff should be aware of the University's Lecture Recording Policy (see below).
  • Use of lecture recording (via Media Hopper Replay) can automate the recording and sharing of lecture recordings (via Learn / Moodle).
  • Media Hopper Create allows additional video/audio content to be shared (which should be accessible in format); automatic subtitles can be requested and then edited if needed.
  • Blackboard Collaborate (virtual classroom) sessions can be recorded and made available for review.
