Sharing your badge You can share your digital badges with others to highlight or celebrate your achievements, evidence your learning experiences, and allow others to verify the authenticity of the badge.Your digital badge can be shared in several ways:Using a link.Using HTML.Directly to social media. These sharing options allow you to share the badge in different locations, such as your CV, portfolio, LinkedIn, social media, website, email, and more. When the person you have shared it with clicks on the link or image, they will see a public page of your badge, where they can view and verify the details. Share using the link Use the link when you want to share your badge within text. For example, when you want to add the badge link to your CV, a cover letter, a blog post, an email, or similar. Share as an image using HTML Use HTML when you'd like to share your badge as an image and include its verification information. The image can be embedded in your website, portfolio, presentation, blog post, email signature, etc. You can select an image style and which information displays with the information. Leaving the tickbox blank means the email address won't show.For badge style images, you can select to show or hide:Badge name.Date it was awarded.A verification button.Email address. Ticking email address shows your name on the badge image and includes your email address in the badge verification page. Use the preview area to check if this is how you want the image to appear.Scroll down under the embedded code box and click Copy to copy the embed code.Paste the HTML embed code into your website, portfolio or other location, according to the location's instructions for embedding HTML. Share on social media and LinkedIn Use the option to share on social media when you want to share your badge via LinkedIn, Facebook, X, Pinterest, or your Canvas profile.Note that for some platforms you can choose to share in your profile, as a post or both. Sharing the badge in your profile means it has long-term visibility. Sharing your badge as a post means that, at first, more people may see it and engage with the post, but the badge will be less visible over time and may not remain visible in the long term. A LinkedIn pop-up window appears.Enter any skills or media you would like associated with the badge.Click Save.Decide whether to also share the badge as a post.Click Post Now and then Next to share in a post as well.Click Skip to only share in your profile right now.Check your profile for the badge. Choices include Facebook, X, Pinterest and your Canvas profile. Follow the prompts for your chosen social media to add as a post, profile item or both. Note that the options vary with the social media platform.Check your social media profile or posts for the badge. Click share and find the Social section to share to social media. Troubleshooting sharing your badge on social media If you tried sharing your badge to social media but didn't see the pop-up to do so, you may need to change your browser settings. By default, some browsers block pop-ups from automatically showing up on your screen. When a pop-up is blocked, the address bar will be marked 'Pop-up blocked'. You may wish to allow pop-ups from the Canvas Credentials/Badgr website.
