As part of the work being delivered via the LOUISA project, the project team were shortlisted for the Best University Digital Assessment Programme/Implementation category at the 2026 e-Assessment Awards. The awards saw a record number of entries from institutions and organisations across Europe, Asia, North America and Australia. The shortlist reflects the growing global importance of digital assessment across education and professional sectors. LOUISA focuses on transforming assessment and feedback practices within Learn through improved use of data, streamlined workflows, and enhanced user experience. A Collaborative Approach A key strength of the LOUISA project is its co-design methodology, ensuring that both student and staff perspectives shape how assessment works in practice. This approach is helping the University better understand what matters most in assessment and feedback, and where targeted support can make the greatest impact. A Collective Achievement This shortlisting recognises the work of colleagues across the University who have contributed to LOUISA—from learning technologists, academics and professional services staff to the students who have helped shape its direction. We are proud to see this work recognised alongside leading institutions including Università degli Studi di Padova, Canterbury Christ Church University, and Newcastle University. A Continued Journey This recognition reflects the significant progress made through LOUISA and the ongoing commitment across the University to enhance teaching and learning. We are currently nearing the end of the early adopter programme and are reviewing all the feedback that we received.
