From time-to-time you may experience some unexpected behaviour within Media Hopper Replay. If this is the case you can check our list of Known Issues for more information. CURRENT Personal Capture Tool issue with certain Mac screen resolutions We have been made aware of an issue with the Personal Capture Tool failing to record the screen at the default resolution on some Macs. The vendors are aware of this and have published workarounds for the affected machines and resolutions, please see the link below: http://bit.ly/2ytfMJk As soon as an update is received we will update this known issue. Certain screen resolutions not being recorded We are aware of an ongoing issue where some resolutions are not being recorded when an external source is selected, i.e. a laptop. This has been raised with the vendor and we are working with them to try and resolve it. A workaround has been advised from Learning Spaces Technology, which is to put the device into extended desktop. This will force the resolution of the screen to comply with the recording device and all presentations/content can be displayed via the projector. We will provide a further update as soon as we hear anything. RESOLVED AV Mute function on control panels - February 2019 The AV Mute function on the touch control panels is not blanking the feed being sent to Media Hopper Replay, this only affects a small number of teaching spaces. We have advised Learning Spaces Technology about this and they are programming this into their scheduled work over the summer 2019 to rectify. Current workaround - Please remember, if you don't want a part of your lecture recording, then use the pause function on the delcom light. The Teaching Spaces affected are: Appleton Tower LTs 1 - 5, Appleton Tower M2, Gordon Aikman Lecture Theatre, JCMB Halls A, B , C, Teviot LT, Outreach, Ashworth LT1 & LT3, Hudson Beare LT2, Sanderson LT, Swann LT, Easter Bush G.01, G58 and G.66, Old College G.159 & 1.264, Western General LT G.02, QMRI LT, Chancellor's Building LT A & B. Flashing Red Light in Lister 2.4 We’ve been made aware of an issue in Room 2.4, Lister Building, whereby the indicator light on the teaching desk is currently flashing red. The capture appliance is online and a technician is performing a reset of the light when the room is free. This known issue will be updated once this has been resolved. 'Play' button not working straight away when watching captures on macOS with Safari When watching a video in Media Hopper Replay using Safari on macOS, if you click the 'Play' button nothing happens. This has been raised with the supplier, and they are currently investigating this. To get a video to play using Safari, you can click later on in the timeline, moving the play head past the start of the video, and click 'play' again. The video will now playback as normal. We will update this issue once we have a response from the supplier. Update as at 16OCT18 We have been informed by the supplier that a fix has been deployed, as part of the fortnightly agile realeases, which resolves this issue. Lectures recorded in Swann Main Lecture Theatre not appearing in courses There is an issue with the Media Hopper Replay device in the Swann Main Lecture Theatre, whereby lectures that have been recorded in that room since the 24th of September have not not yet completed processing, and are therefore not available for playback. We have manually started reprocessing these in the aim to resolve this issue, so we expect the recordings should appear overnight. Update at 26SEP18 All content has now been processed and will be appearing on course pages in Media Hopper Replay now.
