New CMALT Programme 2024/25

Supporting staff to become Certified Members of the Association for Learning Technology (CMALT)

The University of Edinburgh CMALT programme is a series of workshops to support staff who have learning technology or digital education as the main element of their role at The University of Edinburgh to gain an internationally recognised professional accreditation.  

The CMALT programme will support staff to prepare an application to gain recognition for their role. Upon a successful application they will be awarded either Associate CMALT, CMALT or Senior CMALT, aligned to their roles and responsibilities.

How to sign up

Applications for the 2024/25 programme have now closed - many thanks for your interest.

To apply for a place on the 2025/26 programme which commences in September 2025, you will need to complete the Registration of Interest Form by 5pm on Monday 15th September 2025.

Timeline (2024/25 Cohort)

All meetings will take place online via MS Teams.

The programme comprises of nine interactive workshops and writing retreats designed to support you in preparing your CMALT portfolio. 

A small amount of pre-workshop preparation is required, and participants are supported by a dedicated SharePoint site and MS Teams channel.
