The service was rolled out over the course of three academic years. In 2017/18 the focus was on replacing existing lecture recording services and 142 teaching spaces were enabled. In 2018/19 the service was expanded to include over 250 teaching spaces and included automated scheduling of lectures. in 2019/20 the service was installed in over 300 teaching spaces and extended into specialist spaces within the University. As part of the implementation of the new lecture recording service, we formed an Academic User Group to ensure that academic voices were firmly embedded in the development of Replay. Professor Susan Rhind, who chaired the Group, invited representation from all Schools to both champion and support the use of the service. This included supporting initiatives to explore more creative uses of the capabilities offered by lecture recording to enhance learning and teaching.
