Workshop Structure

What happens during a workshop and who should be there.

Types of workshop

We currently offer programme-level workshops. These workshops are suited to address the needs of on-campus, online or blended delivery.

Workshops are run either fully on-campus or online.

Our usual approaches don't permit sufficient quality time to sit down together to go through this. Also, having an external moderation and framework to work towards is very valuable. It 'ups our game'.

Level of commitment

Workshops comprise a mixture of synchronous and asynchronous activities run over two (on campus) or three (online) consecutive days and require a substantial commitment of time from the academic team involved (see Who needs to be there below). Feedback has shown that it is felt to be time well spent.

Your Academic Lead will need to take part in a brief (approximately 1 hour) pre-ELDeR meeting to prepare them for the workshop and give them the opportunity to ask any additional questions.

There may also be a requirement for some pre-workshop tasks for your academic team to undertake in order to make the best use of their time during the workshop.

An excellent way of drawing colleagues and learning professionals together to design a programme in a professionally facilitated environment.
