The Project Services section of IS Applications hosted the summer conference of the Scottish Programme and Project Management Group. The University hosted the twice yearly event at the newly completed Outreach Centre on Holyrood Road. Mark Ritchie as Head of Project Services, gave the opening talk about project management in the University, including our training programmes and the new project management website. Other keynote speakers included representatives from the NHS and Scottish Natural Heritage, and a guest speaker from the London Borough of Hackney. Our membership of the SPPMG is a key external engagement activity and a fantastic opportunity to share and learn from other public bodies. There were some really interesting sessions and everyone seemed to get a lot out of the day. We made some great new contacts and also got lots of nice feedback about the venue.
