IS Applications Division has started a project to implement a new development platform. A recent web languages review was undertaken which identified Python as the preferred web development language to replace ColdFusion, choosing Django as the preferred web application framework to use with Python. The project aims to deliver the new Python platform infrastructure components, which will allow subsequent software development projects to make use of the new platform.
