Ensuring continuity of service

The Online Print Credit (PCounter) application was on a system that was at end of life and on unsupported infrastructure. It has now been successfully migrated to a new server and upgraded to ColdFusion11.

Students use online print credits to print documents on University printers, mainly in the libraries and computing labs. The manufacturer had stopped supporting the old server infrastructure, making this upgrade essential maintenance.

The print history database has also been successfully migrated to a new server, as the server which previously housed it was due to be decomminssioned.
