BI Suite – A Summer Success

In years gone by, users of BI Suite –  the University’s primary tool for student, financial and HR reporting – had good reason to dread the onset of summer and the ‘exam board season’. This is the busiest time of the year for the BI service. On occasion, login licences were so scarce that some users were left stranded outside of the tool when urgently needing to update crucial reports for exam boards and graduations.

This summer, a slew of behind-the-scenes tweaks to the way licences work has eliminated any wait time for users trying to log into the tool. 

BI Suite has become more reliable this year as I haven’t experienced the access issues that were prone to happen in the past. As an aside, my experience of requesting an advanced licence after returning from holiday has also been quick and efficient, enabling me to get the access I needed straight away.

We are very pleased that nobody has to wait any more and we can also see that we have plenty of headroom to meet future demand as the use of the service continues to grow.
