Academic support

Guidance for staff and students on academic integrity and avoiding potential plagiarism

It is important to think about academic integrity long before work is submitted for marking.

As teaching and support staff, we can direct our students to people and resources that can help guide toward good practice when it comes to writing, drawing upon the work of others, using quotations, citing other authors, references etc.

As students we can make use of this support as early as possible and follow University guidance in order to avoid the kinds of issues that Turnitin can highlight.
