Information Services Applications and the University Website and Communications Team (UWP) have just completed the latest project which continued our EdWeb development. EdWeb is the University's Drupal based central Web Content Management System (CMS). This project delivered additional features to EdWeb, including improvements to staff profiles and support for Java Script. As well as adding these extra features, this project also took a huge step in our goal to improve the collaborative development of EdWeb. Improving Collaboration Together with some colleagues from Applications, the UWP team have already held three successful code sprints. Together with this success and the work delivered earlier in the year to develop a collaborative frame work, this project took that success to the next stage and delivered two development iterations, where a colleague from Science and Engineering and a member of the UWP team actively worked on and developed user stories. This kind of collaborative development not only presents the opportunity for a wider group of developers to participate in EdWeb but also grows and encourages the Drupal community across the University. DrupalCon After this project completed, Product Owner Bruce Darby and Project Manager Tim Gray, presented on this community building work at DrupalCon 2017, Drupal Association’s flagship European conference in Vienna.
