A current project is focused on updating PURE, the University’s research information management system. The University aims to keeps up to date with the most recent version of software wherever possible to avail of benefits including improved functionality. PURE facilitates an evidence-based approach to research and collaboration strategies, assessment exercises and day-to-day business decisions. It aggregates research information to build reports which can be used for key University processes, including the Research Excellence Framework (REF) reports. The requirements of research information management can change frequently due to changes in REF requirements and demands from research funders. Keeping an up to date system can therefore help university researchers keep up with changing demands.
