IS Apps has begun a gradual move away from using web applications development platform Adobe ColdFusion which has been a supported technology within the department for many years.

Over this time many applications have been hosted on IS Apps ColdFusion infrastructure – many of which have been self-supported.

But end of life for ColdFusion hosting for self-supported applications has now been set at March 31, 2023, IS Apps has announced.

Currently there are 19 ColdFusion websites hosted on IS Apps infrastructure which will have to find alternative services or redevelop their applications in a supported technology, such as Python or PHP, within the next 12 months.

An additional seven ASP/HTML applications also hosted on this infrastructure will also be relocated or closed down by March 2023.

Ahead of the end of life date, IS Apps is consulting with application owners to help them find alternative solutions where possible.
