Mon 8 March – Fri 19 March 2021 Image The Library is planning an online Dissertation Festival in March 2021, to showcase how the Library can support the student dissertation experience. Our diverse sessions will range from exploring what library resources are available to support a research question, to managing the bibliographic and research data students find. The Festival will highlight support that the ASLs, Centre for Research Collections, Research Support, Digital Skills and IAD provide for undergraduate and taught postgraduate students undertaking their dissertations, as well as staff supervising dissertations. Sessions will be offered flexibly throughout the fortnight and will be recorded for access after the event. A key theme for this year is Systematic Literature review, supporting students undertaking evidence based literature reviews. Some examples of sessions planned include: · Managing the Literature in Systematic Reviews · Discovering Primary Sources: Decolonisation in Parliamentary Sources · Using the Library remotely for your dissertation · Technical standards - Introduction to finding and accessing standards documents New for this year, we will have a virtual conference bag for you to take away lots of further information and freebies on library resources and services.
