Temporary study spaces and extended opening hours

Temporary study spaces are being made available in the lower ground floor of 40 George Square. Additional spaces and hours will be available from 01.12.25 – 19.12.24 (subject to demand)

The Study Hub at 40 George Square will extend its opening hours to:

Monday – Friday               09:00 – 21:50 

Saturday & Sunday         10:00 – 17:50

During these hours LG.07 – LG.11 will be available for independent study use. 

LG.06 is also available as study space Monday - Friday 09:00 - 16:50

These rooms can be found in the below the 40 George Square lecture theatres. 

During the exam and revision period our most popular sites such as the Main Library, and the Law Library see significant increased demand for space. Please consider visiting our other site libraries and study centres during this time. 

The Study Hub at 40 George Square has been designed to provide space for focused study as well as social and collaborative activity

Heat & Eat (on level 02 40 George Square)

The Heat and Eat features two microwaves, a hot water tap and soft seating free to use by all staff and students.

Please use the room in line with safety information provided in the room and with consideration for other users.
