The University of Edinburgh’s primary information reporting and analysis tool is set to be enhanced to boost usability, security, and bring new features online. Image Crucial annual upgrades will be carried out on the SAP BusinessObjects platform which will see the latest software version installed and in-place improvements in the tools’ three environments (DEV, TEST and LIVE). SAP BusinessObjects enables users to create and utilise reports to meet their business information needs. Implementing the latest SAP releases will ensure the University stays within support contract obligations and help prevent security vulnerabilities. The upgrades will also provide access to a slew of new features including: Enhanced user interface - updated look and feel, optimised for touch input New BI launch pad - improved document management and folder navigation, new inbuilt Web Assistant Scheduling enhancements - new Instance, 'Business Hours', notifications and multiple destination functions Web Intelligence overhaul - improvements to reporting app interface For more information on the changes visit the SAP Business Objectives page.
