A new contract between the University and Kinetic Solutions to supply the Kx SaaS solution has been agreed and signed, continuing to help manage student and commercial accommodation. The existing Kinetic solutions supplied Kx applications have been used at the University for accommodation and event management for over 20 years. Following the completion of a recent procurement project, Kx will continue to be used by Accommodation, Catering and Events (ACE) as well as students thanks to a newly-signed contract between the University and Kinetic Solutions.Kx were found to be one of the few suppliers who could provide the level of services which meet the student/commercial accommodation and event management needs. To ensure Kx operates in the best way for ACE, the migration of the current UoE Kx applications to the cloud, on Microsoft Azure infrastructure, has now been successfully completed with minimal inconvenience to the business.Following this extremely successful migration of the Kx services, ACE may now expect an overall reduction in service downtime, making it easier for the development of more digitalised services as well as a more straightforward and quicker approach to up-scaling the new infrastructure to cope with future growth which could increase demand for its services.
