To support the 2024-2025 ‘Making Transitions Personal Review’, a collaborative project by Applications and Careers helped to coordinate and achieve the overall goal of supporting students entering University. Careers’ ‘Making Transitions Personal Review’ is a model based on five elements to help Schools support students move through their University years. Each academic year, the systems supporting this model are reviewed to ensure students and staff get the best support possible. Applications have supported Careers with this Annual Review, helping to avoid potential IT issues, as well as supporting incoming students with positive engagement during Welcome Week. This Annual Review ensures that students feel confident enough to turn to Careers if they need support during their studies, and for Careers to continue to prioritise the student experience.Key deliverables of the project captured the sign-off of technical documentation, confirm the effort needed each year to ensure the Review is delivered to students without any issues, and to provide a budget. This was a very collaborative project between Applications and Careers, bringing a continued strong and supportive working relationship with the ultimate shared goal of ensuring student success and happiness.
