Annual Jira Upgrade

An annual upgrade of Jira, a business issue tracking software, will update the current version (9.4.21) to the latest version to ensure the service will be supported in the future. The current version of Jira was unsupported from 15^th November 2024.

This update involves two stages. The first stage involved upgrading the current version of Jira to the latest long-term version (9.12) earlier this year. As this is only supported until 29^th November 2025, operations were stopped until November, when the new version was released. Jira is now in the process of being upgraded to this most recent and long-term version.

To ensure that this runs as smoothly as possible, user acceptance testing and a review of the documentation to decide what features will and won’t be included in the update are underway.
