Archibus to receive major upgrade

Archibus to be made simpler in new upgrade, making Estates management easier.

Archibus is a facilities management system used by the Estates Department, consisting of a suite of applications which support a number of estates management operations. The Estates HelpDesk, alongside other facility management activities, including maintenance and lease management, are just a number of the functions that help support the day-to-day running of the University by Estates.

The current project aims to upgrade the existing Archibus system to improve the opportunities and functions provided. For instance, the existing tool is currently a complex system that has a wide variety of customisations. The upgrade will remove these options, making the overall system significantly easier to use, manage, and upgrade going forwards.

The Project Team is currently focusing on its execution and delivery, the upgraded system is expected to go live in mid-2025.
