Using Wikidata to digitise library collections. Wikidata is a useful platform through which to digitise texts and make them openly available for anybody's use. The National Library of Wales has worked with Wikimedia to increase access to portraits, paintings and prints in their collection by digitising them and uploading them to Wikimedia Commons. These images have their metadata, which includes any information about the image/object, stored on Wikidata, allowing for the image to be searched online.
