Introduction to R self-paced

A course for those new to programming or new to the R programming language, with the goal of building a foundation from which learners can continue to further their skills in R.

R is a great tool for handling various types of data, creating beautiful and cohesive statistical graphs and performing in-depth statistical analyses and calculations.

In this course you will learn the basics of R, including:

  • Introduction to R and R Studio
  • Syntax, arithmetic, and data types
  • Packages and their uses
  • Inputting and cleaning data
  • Handling and visualising data

This course is designed for complete beginners and no prior knowledge is required. Please note that this is an extracurricular course, so you won't receive any credits for taking it.

You can complete the course at any time, at your own pace. It should take two to three hours.
