Content Design for Web Publishers

This interactive workshop will help you to improve your web content.

Who should attend

This workshop is for any University staff who publish content on the web.

What you will learn

Content design involves identifying your target audiences, understanding their needs, and developing content that meets those needs. It's about creating accessible content that is easy for your audiences to find, use, and understand.

You’ll learn:

  • Why content design is worth the effort
  • How to assess your existing content
  • How to apply content design techniques to your site

How this workshop is delivered

This workshop involves a single 2-hour classroom session. It's delivered by the User Experience team.

We'll invite you to put forward pages from your site, and then in the session, we'll explore how content design techniques can help you to improve those pages.

The workshop involves a series of collaborative activities in which you work on real content with other publishers from across the University.

Before you attend

The workshop builds on topics covered in the Effective Digital Content online course. You’ll get more from this workshop if you’ve completed Effective Digital Content before attending.
