Effective Digital Content course now available on Learn

The online version of the popular ‘Writing for the Web’ course is now available on Learn. It’s now known as ‘Effective Digital Content’.

Who is this course for?

Any staff member should be able to find the course on Learn. Although a mandatory course for EdWeb access, anyone creating any kind of digital content should find it useful.

Help us test

The course is still very much in a pilot form, and we know there are some imperfections. At the end of the final section, you’ll find a feedback form where you can let us know where to focus improvements.

  • Never done ‘Writing for the Web?  Completing ‘Effective Digital Content’ in its current form will still count as your requirement to get EdWeb access.
  • Already an EdWeb user?  If you’ve done the in person version of ‘Writing for the Web’ in the past, we’d be very interested to hear what you think of the new version – and you should pick up some extra tips, too.

How long will it take?

The complete course should take between two and two and a half hours, divided in six sections of around 25 minutes. You don’t have to complete it in one sitting.

Enrol now

You can find the course by searching for ‘Effective Digital Content’ in the ‘self-enrol’ tab in Learn. You must first log in to Learn to see this tab at the top right.

Don’t like online courses?

Our in person version of this training will still be available, although probably less frequently. We need to assess this as the online version establishes itself.
